Tons of hair, tons of energy, lack of obedience ability, will try to run away at some point. No thank you, not for me!They're not that bad. I own 2 of them and yes it takes a lot of effort to train them. But they are very smart, sweet and goofy. I love them to death.I have one and I can't imagine having two. I'm just thankful that he's now three and has calmed down considerably. Always training to do though and its definitely a challenge. He's incredibly intelligent and will wait until I've turned my back to do something naughty. Huskies are the best but I would never recommend them.
I have a male husky. Can confirm, he is a massive dick to other dogs sometimes. He reminds me of one of those birds that puffs up their chest when they're in danger though. He goes around like that, all proud and snobby, but the second someone so much as barks at him wrong he'll come crying back to me.Dunno why you got the down votes and not advice. You asked for advice so I'm here to help you. I've owned many huskies, and I've house sat huskies that were not my own...so not a husky expert, but I'm well-versed in the Art of Husky, I would like to say.
Most of the huskies I know have a husky buddy, so this is absolutely correct. One of my own huskies had a friend who was as energetic as she was, a mixed mutt of a mostly Retriever persuasion. They would go outside and race around my oak trees in circles like maniacs for a good hour, then chill for a bit and do it again.I have a lovely well behaving husky... And she is this way because she gets out, walks a lot and hardly ever is alone.. This whole post made me cringe.. Huskies are high maintenance but so worth it when you take proper care of them...
Like others have said, it is kind of annoying but they will push the boundaries you set every chance they get and you HAVE to keep them in check. You give them an inch and they'll take it a mile. It you can consistently keep them in line and keep up the training everyday, it will be okay. The other thing that helps is draining them of their energy. I have two huskies and walk them twice a day for about 45min each walk. We also have a decent backyard so they can run around and play with each other (which doesn't happen that often) in case they're feeling a little extra energetic but generally the walks drain them.
